If you are trying to lose weight or just love nonalcoholic drinks and smoothies here you can find some of my favorite recipes.

Grapefruits are fruit that some people hate, but I love it. I love that bitter taste in pink, white and red grapefruit. Grapefruits blend well with other citrus fruits but when making a smoothie, I want something that will sweeten the drink.

As a natural source of vitamin C and vitamin A, grapefruits are very good for our health. Also, they are high in water so they help with cleansing and detoxing our body. That is why they are good for weight loss.

I usually want to eat grapefruits or just drink raw juice, but if I tend to make a grapefruit smoothies, these are my favorite recipes.

Recipe 1:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Grapefruits (peel them before use)
  • 1 cup Pineapple
  • 2 cups fresh baby Spinach
  • 1 Banana
  • Water by choice

Recipe 2:

Ingredients:

  • 1 Grapefruit
  • 1 cup Pineapple
  • 2 Kiwi
  • Coconut water
  • 2 cups fresh baby Spinach

Recipe 3:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Grapefruits
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Banana
  • 4 fresh Dates
  • 2 cups fresh baby Spinach

Recipe 4:

Ingredients:

  • 1 peeled Grapefruit
  • 5-10 Strawberries
  • 1 medium Banana
  • 4 Dates
  • Water by choice

Make sure to peel the grapefruit before using it and to de-stone the dates if you choose a recipe with dates. You can add more water or not. I usually don’t. Or you can add coconut water. Experiment!

Take all the ingredients and place them in a blender. Blend on high speed 30 to 60 sec, or until smooth. And that is it. Your smoothie is ready.

You can make these recipes in the morning for breakfast or as a snack. Grapefruits are great for losing weight because are very low in calories and high in vitamin C.
